News: to expand on the Cypriot market - Paravion

02 Aug 2012 to expand on the Cypriot market

The online travel agency Paravion entered the Cyprus online market thus offering all users on the Aphrodite’s Island the opportunity to book flight tickets on, according to company’s officials.
Situated at approximately two hours away from Romania, four hours away from London and two hours away from Dubai, Cyprus represents a great business opportunity with a significant air traffic, locals and tourists, all around the year. Another strategic advantage of launching is that all Greek speakers will be able to access the online platform from all over the world. Add to this advantage the huge potential for this business to develop due to very numerous bookings made because:
- there are no railways in Cyprus and air travel is one of the fastest and more comfortable ways of transportation
- the living standards of the Cypriots is high enough for them to frequently use air travel for both business or and leisure.
“Entering the Cypriot market should not surprise anyone. When was first acquired by GED Capital through Happy Tour, we then announced our three objectives: consolidate, update and expand”, declared Javier Garcia del Valle, executive vice president/CEO of Happy Tour Group.

In 2010, Happy Tour, owned by GED Capital, acquired the online portal form Millennium Tour. Following this transaction a new company was created, Paravion Tour, member of Happy Tour Group.
